We are excited to announce that our sea star surveys are back- starting June 28th at Tonquin Beach! Come and help us monitor the health of our colourful star-shaped friends as part of a citizen science monitoring project on our coastline.

This year's surveys will be happening at our Tonquin Beach site. With the help of citizen-science volunteers like yourselves we will gather our 11th year of sea star wasting data, contributing to a North-America wide monitoring program done by MARINe. 

Survey dates are:

June 28th, 9:30 am

July 26th, 8:00am

August 24th, 8:00am

September 9th, 8:00am

No pre-survey signup is required, we will meet at the trailhead in the Tonquin Beach parking lot. Remember to dress for the weather, wear sturdy waterproof footwear (for traversing slippery rocks) and come ready to survey some sea stars!
